The 3 Best Breakfast Places Worth the Early Drive in Waipahu, HI
Rocky’s Coffee Shop
This place is so much more than just coffee. You will find them at 94–316 Waipahu Depot Street. On Wednesday and Thursday they are closed; on Friday they are open from 5:30 AM until 11:30 AM; on Saturday and Sunday they are open from 6 AM until 11:30 AM, and on Monday and Tuesday they open from 5:30 AM until 11 AM. They have great service ad delicious pancakes, omelets, and fried-rice breakfast dishes.
We recommend their basic breakfast, which is your choice of meat and two eggs with hashbrowns, toast, a side of rice, or fried rice for a small upcharge. For meats, they have burgers, corn beef hash, bacon, Portuguese sausage, spam, smoked sausage, and lots more. You should also try their house special Loco Moco, which is two hamburger patties with an egg, rice, and their house gravy.
Koa Pancake House
Head over to the spot for delicious food at good prices with generous portions. You will find them in the Waipahu Town Center, and they’re open from 6:30 AM until 2 PM every day of the week. You can find the center at 94–050 2, Farrington Hwy C1.
All of their omelets are really good, but we are especially fond of the high steaks omelette, which comes with bell pepper, mushroom, white onion, and steak. The seafood omelette includes crab and shrimp. They also do a killer traditional benedict, and their pancakes, waffles, and French toast are a local legend. Try their red velvet pancakes or the strawberry cheesecake pancakes for a special treat. The Butter Mochi waffles are unusual and delicious.
HC Drive Inn
This place doesn’t look like much, but it’s amazing. Don’t be fooled by the outside. You’ll find them at 94-210 Leokane St at #109. From Monday through Saturday, they open at 5:30 AM and close at 8 PM. On Sunday, they are open from 6 AM until 7 PM. You can get breakfast here until 11 am.
We very much enjoy their breakfast special platters. The sunshine platter may be the very best, in our opinion. It comes with your choice of meat, two eggs, rice, and a side order for a small upcharge. We really like the ham steak with this platter.
