Pull Over Safely

Assess the Situation

Prepare to Change the Tire

Lift the Vehicle

Remove the Flat Tire
Once the car is lifted, remove the lug nuts entirely and keep them in a secure place. Gently pull the flat toward you until it’s free from the hub.
Mount the Spare Tire
Take the spare and align it with the wheel bolts. Then push gently until the bolts show through the rim. Screw the lug nuts on by hand as tightly as possible.
Lower the Vehicle and Tighten the Lug Nuts
Use the jack to lower your Genesis back to the ground, but don’t remove it yet. Using your tire iron, tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern to ensure even pressure. Once the nuts are completely tight, you can remove the jack.
