You’ll find gorgeous foliage, plenty of nearby bathrooms, and an easily sloping trail that will show you the best of Waipahu. 2. Waimano Valley/Ridge Trail Head

Waimano Valley/Ridge Trail Head at 2430-2898 Waimano Home Rd. in Pearl City is just a few minutes drive from Waipio and is an excellent trail if you’re looking for an all-day adventure with some of the most stunning views that you’ll find anywhere in Hawaii. The trail is just over 12 miles long, so it’s a good idea to start early if you want to be able to take your time and see everything.
You’ll find many tropical birds, stunning vistas, and some steeper trails that will challenge moderate to experienced hikers and provide a fun day out. You can also bring leashed dogs to Waimano Valley/Ridge Head Trail and plenty of fun offshoots that veer off the main trail to explore.

3. Manana Ridge Trail

Another Pearl City gem, Manana Ridge Trail at the very end of Komo Mai Dr., is an excellent place to explore for moderate to experienced hikers. The entire trail is almost seven miles long, but you can also explore parts of the park or modify your experience to make it suitable for everyone in your group. Expect to see the beautiful wilds of Hawaii with lush foliage, amazing views, and sloping trails that veer deep into the jungle.
